We Salute Veterans, Heroes, First Responders
Our staff understands the unique needs of veterans and first responders because many of us are those as well. We are prepared to meet the specific challenges that they and their families may face at the end of life.
We have embraced our mission to serve America's bravest. It's our way of saying thank you for the sacrifices they made while serving us.
Gulfside offers special pinning ceremonies to each veteran and first responder patient as a special way to recognize and thank them for their service to our country, as well as pass meaningful keepsakes to their family. Gulfside representatives are also available to hold community pinning at special events and for other community organizations.
With more than 300 volunteers, Gulfside places a strong emphasis on placing veteran or first responder volunteers with those patients in an effort to promote a deeper connection. Volunteers are available to sit with hospice patients to provide respite care for caregivers, assist in basic chores, and even just keep patients company and support them emotionally and spiritually during their hospice journey.
How You Can Help:
Make a donation to Gulfside, and designate it specifically to the We Salute Veterans program. You can also make a donation in honor or memory of a special veteran in your life.
Volunteer with Gulfside and take part in patient and community pinning ceremonies, and visit with patients. We are always looking for veteran volunteers to help grow the program.
Schedule a pinning ceremony or speaker presentation for your community club, organization or business by contacting our Speaker's Bureau at 727-845-5707 or completing the online contact form at www.Gulfside.org.
