We are working to keep you safe.
Like many people and organizations, the team at Gulfside Healthcare Services is closely monitoring the current situation concerning COVID-19 and its effects on our community. We are working hard to ensure that we are following safety guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as federal, state and local governments.
The health and safety of our team members, patients, visitors and volunteers remains to be our highest priority. Please know that we are working diligently on assessing each location, department and function of our organization, and actively implementing a plan to mitigate risk and keep everyone safe.
At this time, we are continuing to accept referrals, process new admissions, and provide quality care for patients receiving services from Gulfside. We are working with our partners throughout the community to ensure that all this is being accomplished with the highest of quality standards and compliance in regards to infection control. We know that this is a hard time for everyone, especially patients and caregivers, so our team is working hard to still provide the care they need.
SCREENINGS & VISITATION:
We have implemented essential required screenings for all Gulfside staff and volunteers to ensure their health and well-being before interacting with patients and families. Screenings have also been implemented for new and existing patients, and a plan is in place for anyone that may show related symptoms. All visitors coming to see loved ones at the Gulfside Centers for Hospice Care will also be screened when they arrive.
THRIFT SHOPPES & OFFICES:
As of Monday, March 16, the Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppes will be temporarily closed to staff, volunteers and shoppers in an effort to limit the risk of spreading the virus. The organization's offices located in Land O' Lakes, New Port Richey and Zephyrhills are also temporarily closed. Administrative staff at Gulfside have always been equipped with the ability to work remotely, and will be performing their roles as such during this time.
